AP STUDIO INTERN ROLE DESCRIPTION

Los Angeles based Filmmaker and Photographer seeks a studio intern for her studio. 

Role: The studio intern will report to the Studio Manager. This person needs to be highly organized, self-motivated and task oriented. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with administrative tasks including shipping, invoicing, web sales records & sales reports 

  • Review all studio email requests

  • Respond to customer web shop inquiries

  • Ship out Web Orders

  • Track all Web Sales 

  • Send Web Sales reports to studio manager 

  • Organize and oversee sending out cards & gifting 

  • Maintaining & consistently updating the studio systems and tracking documents

  • Updating Mailing List & Keys List

  • Adding new VIPs to the mailing list

  • Scanning and filing yearly invoices, receipts, shipping and important docs 

  • Studio Prop & wardrobe closet inventory / organization 

  • Instagram - scheduling posts, prepping stories, reposting stories

  • Assist with travel research and booking

  • Assist with the maintaining and updating current CV and bio 

  • Tracking press & updating it on the website

  • Assist with weekly shipping tasks

  • Assist with general PA duties including studio errands

  • Oversee all office related maintenance and upkeep ie. restocking studio office supplies, kitchen supplies, groceries runs, washing dishes, pick up mail & packages

  • Increase efficiency of operations - providing an extra set of hands whether the project is big or small

Skills:

  • Skilled multi-tasker with a record of completing projects in a timely manner and with foresight to anticipate further action needed.

  • Must be proficient with google docs and sheets

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs and Artbase or similar database required. 

  • Must be detail-oriented and extremely organized.

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Squarespace preferred. 

  • Familiarity with art history (particularly photography) and standard gallery procedures, policies and practices is desired.

  • Must drive and have access to a car.

Qualifications:

  • BA (preferably in Art History, Design, Marketing, Communications or related field) is preferred

  • Internships or other work experience within the arts, production company or film preferred
